Meet the Utphall's

Located amongst the wooded, rolling hills, five miles north of Boyceville, Wisconsin, the Chimney Rock Farm has been owned by the Utphall family since 1919. The 240-acre farm is divided into large paddocks containing both woods and grassland where the beef can wander freely.
The beef are raised naturally on pasture and supplemented with vitamins, minerals, corn silage and hay (in the winter); receiving no hormones.
We believe that cattle should be allowed to live as naturally as possible. They are free to wander the hills, meadows and pastures to feel the sun and clouds overhead and the ground underneath. We try hard to provide a safe, natural environment for the cattle on our farm. We do not believe in using hormone implants in any form to speed their growth. We believe that the meat is tastier and healthier when grown naturally on pasture.
We believe in the use of antibiotics only when we are faced with a life or death situation (for example, if a calf gets pneumonia). Antibiotics are rarely needed when animals are raised in a healthy, minimal stress environment like we provide. This information is recorded so that later, when these animals are full-grown, they can be sold at a commercial market.
